60×80 oil on linnen canvas

As part of my final exam I had a two week time period to work and a piece of art on request of a client that would later be featured in a small three day exhibition with the rest of my classmates to celebrate the end of our study. My client loved the works of Alfons Mucha. Mucha was a Czech artist of the late 19th and early 20th century, best known for his graceful Art Nouveau posters featuring elegant women, floral motifs and decorative lines. He became famous for his posters for actress Sarah Bernhardt and later also created national and symbolic works for the Czech Republic. The painting would be a perfect fit for the early 19th century Jugendstil home it would come to be placed.
